Pee Wee’s big adventure is a film released in 1985 directed by Tim Burton in his directorial debut and is a road trip film. Pee Wee (played by Paul Reuben) loves his bike it’s his favorite thing in the world discovers that his bike is missing so he’s on the road to find his bike in the Alamo and meets different people along the way
Pee Wee’s journey leads him to various sites, including the historic Alamo, a raucous biker bar, the mouth of a dinosaur, and a Hollywood movie set (in the final act) Along the way, he befriends everyone from a fugitive named Mickey to a pretty waitress named Simone who dreams of becoming a movie star. This film is a lot of fun and has great comedic moments also has a great score by the one and only Danny Elfman (The breakfast machine sequence)

During the film, some great cameos pop up like Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Phil Hartman, Milton Berle, and Dee Snider The final act is great Pee-Wee is reunited with his bike and we get a great chase sequence throughout Warner Brothers lot especially during different film sets like a Godzilla film being filmed and the filming of a Twisted Sister music video I first discovered this movie back in 2004 and ever since it’s been my 2nd favorite Tim Burton movie lots of great practical effects like the large Marge, great laughs, quotable and a lot of fun Don’t forget one thing “Tell them Large Marge sent you”
Paul Rubens was a person I loved growing up I’ve seen all of his movies ie Matilda and Mystery Men he was a great character actor as well especially in his guest appearance in 30 Rock I’ve even met him twice at 2 different cons and when I went to his table at the 2nd con he was at that I attended he remembered me and I quote “ I remember you you wore the same hat at the other con I was at the year before” I even got a photo with him near his table It’s a great loss to a great icon from the 80s and 90s.
