Ever since James Gunn was hired as the head of the new DC Universe for Warner Brothers, he said that they were going to make a Supergirl movie. She made her first appearance at the end of the Superman movie that he directed that came out in the summer of 2025. It was a memorable appearance as Millie Alcock crashed into the fortress of solitude and told Superman thank you for watching her dog Krypto. She seemed a bit drunk and like a party girl. This summer, Supergirl gets her own film, and if this is the vibe director Craig Gillespie is going for, it’s going to be a fun ride.
