Spider-man Noir is a version of Spider-Man from an alternate universe. This character had his own comics as well. When he got really popular though is when he appeared in Spider-Man into the Spiderverse and Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse. The two animed Spider-Man films from Sony featuring Miles Morales from the directing duo of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. This character was so popular that fans wanted to see him in his own film or television/steaming series. In the two animated movies, Nicholas Cage voiced the character, so it would only make sense to bring him back as the character in the show based on him. Lord and Miller took some liberties from the version of the animated and comic book character with the television/streaming version of the character.  That is because Sony has already made a deal with Marvel Studios for the right to the name and likeness of the Peter Parker version of the character. After watching the trailer, though, it doesn’t matter because this version looks amazing. No pun intended. May 27th can’t come soon enough as far as I’m concerned. Spider-Noir is the new name, by the way. Not Spider-man Noir.
