Dune started as an epic tale of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) journey to become the one known as Muab’Dib, a messianic character, in Frank Herbert’s sci-fi extravaganza. Denis Villueve directed the first 2 films in the now trilogy of movies based on Herbert’s novels. The first won six Academy Awards, and the second was also nominated for the most coveted prize in movies. It’s still a little bit of a wait for Dune 3 to come out on December 18th, 2026, but to wet the rabid fan base of this franchises appetite, a bunch of character posters, and the first teaser trailer for this third installment of this franchise has been released.
