John Carney is a director who has given film and music fans things that have won Academy Awards and heartfelt stories for years now. “Once” was a breakout hit, and “Falling Slowly” from the soundtrack won an Oscar for Best Song in 2008. “Sing Street” brought film aficionados back to the 80s to the second British invasion, and “Begin Again” showed how to love again after failed relationships.
