The Social Reckoning has released its first trailer and I have some mixed feelings about it. A sequel to one of the greatest films of the 21st Century has been in talks for years and Aaron Sorkin even mentioned at one point he’d only be interested in making one if David Fincher came back to direct. Well… here we have just Sorkin being the only person from The Social Network returning. As a “sequel,” it looks worrisome! As a film itself, it looks very strong and the cast looks like they’re going to rock their socks off. Everyone seems to be swinging for the fences, particularly Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allan White, and Jeremy Strong. I’m thinking right now Reckoning might not reach the heights of Network, but we shall see in October.
