Yesterday, two trailers were released for two highly anticipated animated movies from DreamWorks and Disney. First, DreamWorks released the second teaser for Shrek 5, which is set to come out in the summer 2027. While the movie has drawn criticism for its new character designs, there is still intrigue to be had over the movie. Shrek and Fiona’s kids are teens now, and it’ll be interesting to see what the five of them and Donkey are going to do now. Though, much like the previous films in the franchise, Shrek 5 is looking to throw quippy jokes and jabs at Disney (per Olaf’s “do you wanna date a snowman?”). All eyes are going to be on this movie to see how well it holds up, but for now, I do plan on seeing this next summer.
