“Klara and the Sun” is a New York Times Bestselling novel from writer Kazuo Ishiguro. It’s now an upcoming film from Oscar winning director Taika Waititi. The film stars Jenna Ortega, as Klara, an Artificial Friend (AF) who is purchased to be a companion for a sick girl, Josie (Mia Tharia). The film explores themes of AI, love, and loneliness in a retro-futuristic world where the internet has vanished, featuring a cast that includes Amy Adams, Natasha Lyonne, and Steve Buscemi.
