Robert Eggers’ next film, “Werwulf” just arrived. With it comes all of the usual idiosyncrasies that we’ve come to know his style by: period piece, ominous tone, unnerving music, and haunting cinematography. While it may be exciting to see this and know a new Eggers movie is on the horizon, one part that had me concerned was how I could barely make out the dialogue in the trailer. It took me multiple watches to understand what was being said, with the second viewing requiring subtitles. That may be a me problem more than the trailer’s, but either way, Werwulf is looking to be another hit for Eggers and company. Here is the first trailer for “Werwulf”
