Avengers: Doomsday has gone through at least one revision over the years. This film was originally supposed to be Avengers: Kang Dynasty, but when Jonathan Majors got into some trouble, Kevin Fiege and Marvel Studios had to pivot to a new big bad and that was Dr. Doom. The big reveal broke the internet last year when Robert Downey Jr. was revealed at San Diego Comic Con as being the Dr. Doom character. I’ve been skeptical that he is really going to be Dr. Doom, but with alternative realities and so forth, anything can happen, I guess. There has been speculation that the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday would drop at Londons SXSW film festival. There were clues put out on the Russo Brothers Instagram account of the Latzerian Flag, which is the home country of Dr. Doom. Those clues led to a possible trailer drop today, July 20th, at 9 am est. Here is the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday.
